About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified sub and light to heavy duty assembly operations on the switchgear product line
  • Execute complicated sub-assembly and final assembly operations involving fitting and aligning components
  • Conduct Hi-Pot and functional testing
  • Operate epoxy injection molding equipment and perform clean room operations
  • Set up workstations and follow established working procedures to operate independently or in groups
  • Complete production paperwork, enter labor data, and move products to the outgoing materials zone
  • Screen for defective parts and report concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor
  • Assist QA and Engineering teams with problem-solving for new product development

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing, military, or related experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical prints
  • Ability to lift and push/pull up to 48 lbs
  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Trades training in soldering and brazing operations
  • Knowledge of electronic terminology, symbols, electrical circuits, and electronics
