About the role

About the Company

At Glyphic Biotechnologies, we plan to create the protein revolution for which scientists and researchers have been waiting. We are developing a massively parallel, single-molecule proteome sequencing platform that will transform life science discovery and usher in a new era of insights into human biology and disease.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of scientists responsible for assay integration and end-to-end workflow development
  • Define team priorities, milestones, and resource needs in alignment with the platform development roadmap
  • Oversee fit-for-purpose reagent development and establish QC methods and acceptance specifications
  • Own the assay integration process across the work cell and end-to-end workflow
  • Partner with the Automation team to define workflow requirements and identify throughput bottlenecks
  • Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and communicate findings through formal reports

Requirements

  • PhD with 8+ years or MS with 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 2+ years of direct people management or formal team leadership
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or Biomedical Engineering
  • Proven track record in assay development and advancing novel reagents from prototype to platform integration
  • Experience with liquid-handling platforms (e.g., Hamilton, ThermoFisher, Agilent)
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as HPLC, LC-MS, or capillary electrophoresis
  • Solid foundation in next-generation sequencing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with surface chemistry for flow cells or solid supports
  • Experience with bioconjugation methods
  • Experience with nanopore platforms for sequencing or label-free detection
  • Familiarity with nanoLC-MS-based proteomic workflows
  • Experience with single-cell or spatial proteomics and transcriptomics
  • Experience with single-molecule detection or sequencing instrumentation
