ASL Student Intern

Responsibilities

• Provide ASL/English interpretation for classes, workshops, and events
• Shadow professional interpreters and receive mentorship and feedback
• Collaborate with teams in the Impact & Engagement department
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct for interpreters
• Participate in team meetings, training, and supervisory sessions
• Maintain a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an ASL/English Interpreter Training Program
• Advanced proficiency in ASL with interpretation coursework completed or in progress
• Prior experience in community service, non-profit, or healthcare settings preferred
