ASIC Firmware Engineer, Modeling

Responsibilities

• Design and implement drivers for hardware peripherals, including those related to AI chips
• Design and implement functional software models to simulate SoC uncore logic to enable FW testing
• Develop low-latency and high-throughput embedded software to manage hardware resources
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to implement requirements and debug issues
• Work with vendors to integrate technologies within systems
• Perform bring-up and debugging of firmware and drivers on new platforms
• Establish processes, monitoring, integration testing, and diagnostic tools

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, or Rust
• Experience developing high-throughput, low-latency, and multi-threaded code
• Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
• Experience developing hardware drivers and working directly with hardware
• Experience with HW/SW co-design
• Knowledge of embedded protocols such as UART, I2C, or SPI

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of microprocessor and ARM architectures (e.g., AMBA)
• Knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, or other high-bandwidth communication protocols
• Experience with GPUs or other compute hardware
• Experience deploying large compute clusters
