Aseptic Technician I

Responsibilities

• Execute aseptic techniques and clean room procedures in a GMP facility
• Perform fermentation tasks including growing bacteria from start to harvest
• Manage downstream processing such as concentrations, homogenization, and centrifugation
• Maintain and edit departmental cGMP documentation and Batch Records
• Operate and perform preventive maintenance on seed and production vessels
• Follow all site safety procedures and comply with manufacturing directions
• Work effectively in a team environment and communicate across departments
• Perform clean room gowning and maintain accurate inventory

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• Demonstrated aseptic processing skills
• Ability to perform clean room gowning
• Strong mathematical and science skills
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for long periods
• Ability to work 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and rotating weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-high school education in the sciences or related disciplines
• Proficiency with computer systems
