Aseptic Technician I

Responsibilities

• Execute aseptic techniques and clean room procedures within a GMP facility
• Perform fermentation tasks including growing bacteria, seed passing, and inactivation
• Conduct downstream processing such as concentrations, homogenization, and centrifugation
• Maintain and edit departmental cGMP documentation, including Batch Records and SOPs
• Operate and maintain departmental equipment, including seed and production vessels
• Follow all site safety, financial, and manufacturing procedures
• Work effectively in a team environment and communicate across multiple departments
• Maintain accurate inventory and mentor/train colleagues as needed

Requirements

• High school education or GED
• Demonstrated aseptic processing skills
• Ability to perform clean room gowning
• Strong mathematical, science, and computer skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for long periods
• Ability to wear a respirator and work in varying temperatures
• Ability to work 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) and rotating weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-high school education in the sciences or related disciplines
• Previous experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
