Asbestos Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise asbestos abatement projects and field teams to ensure safety, compliance, and quality workmanship
• Oversee containment setup, removal activities, and site cleanup in accordance with NYS and federal regulations
• Conduct daily safety and respirator fit tests
• Train, mentor, and coach technicians on safe work practices and equipment use
• Monitor project progress to meet production goals and deadlines
• Review and interpret blueprints, job instructions, and project documentation
• Maintain accurate project records, equipment logs, and vehicle inventories
• Communicate with clients, project managers, and team members

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of asbestos abatement experience, including supervisory experience
• Valid New York State Asbestos Supervisor/Handler certifications
• Current experience performing asbestos abatement work in New York
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Current physical and respirator fit test
• Proficiency in English; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights or weekends
• Ability to pass a background check
