Asbestos PLM Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos using PLM
• Accurately enter and report analytical data using LIMS
• Perform independent data reviews for other analysts
• Conduct analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples, and quality control samples
• Assist the QA manager in developing and implementing QA processes
• Manage laboratory inventory and consumables
• Maintain and coordinate servicing of laboratory equipment
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for errors

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in asbestos microscopy (2-3 years preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology, or a related science
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Ability to work onsite in Folsom, CA
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 units of Microbiology coursework
• Knowledge of general regulatory requirements
• Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and databases
• Strong scientific and organizational skills
