About the role
Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough asbestos surveys in accordance with HSE guidelines and regulations
- Identifying and sampling suspected asbestos-containing materials
- Recording accurate and detailed survey findings using digital or paper-based systems
- Assessing the condition and risk of identified asbestos materials
- Providing clear and concise reports to clients, including recommendations for management or removal
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation, industry standards, and best practices
- Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- Certification or qualification in asbestos surveying P403, P404 certification or RSPH equivalent
- Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor
- Strong knowledge of asbestos-related legislation, regulations, and guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills including survey software and Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel
