About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple hands-on arts and crafts classes per sea day
- Teach various crafts including jewelry making, beading, macrame, crochet, embroidery, hand-painted crafts, and paper-arts
- Develop a voyage-length class calendar
- Prepare student craft kits in advance of the voyage
- Act as a brand ambassador for Holland America Line
- Perform IPM and safety duties on certain port days
Requirements
- Experienced artist and craft teacher
- Ability to teach beginner-level students
- Warm and approachable personality
- Comfortable teaching in a classroom setting and engaging in casual guest conversation
