Artist-Teacher of Viola

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly applied viola lessons onsite at the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA)
• Instruct students across various undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and various Performance Diplomas
• Maintain a documented record of consistent professional experience as both a performer and teacher
• Commit to robust student recruitment efforts to support program growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (significant teaching and/or performing experience may be considered in lieu of degrees)
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
• Documented professional performing experience and visibility
• Commitment to student recruitment

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience in collegiate-level teaching
• Excellent interpersonal skills
