Artificial Intelligence Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled applications in both unclassified and secure containerized environments
• Support the Space and Mission Systems (SMS) segment AI team across all sectors
• Engineer AI/ML applications, platforms, and DevSecOps workflows for mission-critical defense systems
• Implement and manage local AI model stacks, vector databases, and RAG patterns

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Or, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
• 4+ years of programming experience, with proficiency in Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker/Podman) and Linux (RHEL/AlmaLinux)
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph)
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS or Azure) and Agile tools like Jira/Confluence
• Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Milvus, Weaviate, Qdrant) and LLM evaluation tooling
• Experience with GitOps/DevSecOps toolchains and CI/CD authoring
