Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering and scientific solutions for complex software applications using AI, including rule-based, supervised, and unsupervised learning
• Develop robust Optimization Engines and implement optimization algorithms into large-scale software packages
• Design and implement complex hardware, software, and database solutions to meet system requirements
• Develop applications to resolve resource conflicts and optimize scheduling in dynamic environments
• Use Agile methodology within a DevSecOps framework to deliver secure and reliable capabilities
• Integrate COTS, GOTS, and open-source software to enhance agency capabilities
• Develop cloud-ready solutions to support software development and data collection services
• Evolve legacy software tools toward DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for broad audiences

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing AI solutions for complex problems
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active DoD security clearance required
• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Ability to work on-site at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing business rule-driven applications
• Experience with optimized resource scheduling in dynamic environments
• Expertise in robust optimization engine development
• Knowledge of missile defense simulations, trajectory analysis, weapon systems, sensors, and command and control systems
