Art Therapist

Responsibilities

• Deliver art therapy and counseling services to support psychosocial wellness
• Facilitate creative arts programs using person-centered, strengths-based techniques
• Address physical and cognitive impairments, legacy/end-of-life care, and life transitions
• Provide clinical supervision for graduate counseling interns
• Implement dementia care programs and workshops for residents and families
• Maintain safe, inviting art studios, exhibition spaces, and supplies
• Collaborate with engagement teams to co-design therapeutic programs
• Assist with multi-media events and art exhibits to support community wellness

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Art Therapy
• Working towards or holding LPC or LCPC and ATR-BC
• Master's level fieldwork experience with older adults
• Extensive knowledge of diverse art materials and their applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, YouTube, and A/V setups
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with individuals living with dementia
• Long-term care setting experience
• Knowledge of person-centered care and Medicare/LTC regulations
• Experience with care plan and MDS documentation
