Art Instructor

Responsibilities

• Conceive of and create an age-appropriate curriculum for the Discovering Science Through Art course
• Design outcome-based lesson plans
• Specify necessary materials for successful course execution
• Arrive at classes consistently on time or early
• Create memorable experiences to help children develop a passion for art
• Help children understand the impact and wonder of art

Requirements

• Experience as an art instructor with deep experience teaching school-age children
• Proven ability to lead own classes
• Ability to create a positive class community and build student relationships
• Strong work ethic and a flexible, cooperative mindset
• Ability to provide at least two references
• Relevant teaching experience on resume or a compelling cover letter explaining interest in education
