Art Director

Responsibilities

• Define and uphold Nex’s visual language across game studio projects, from original Nex IPs to external partnerships
• Elevate the standard across projects by pushing for craft excellence and innovative ideas
• Establish clear benchmarks, style guides, and design review processes to ensure consistent, polished execution
• Collaborate with Engineering, Publishing, and other teams on the production and promotion of games
• Help cultivate a strong Design team culture through feedback and coaching efforts

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in communication design or art direction
• Excellent taste and attention to detail in typography, layout, color, composition, and motion
• Strong creative point of view with clear communication skills
• Ability to lead creatively while performing high-level hands-on execution
• Ability to balance priorities across multiple projects in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Video game industry experience
