Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E) Range Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on indoor and outdoor small arms ranges, Tactical Training Simulators (TTS), and AA&E storage facilities
• Construct and install live-fire target frames, barricades, and mock-ups
• Maintain access roads, helicopter landing zones, and training structures like SEAHUTS
• Manage GSA vehicles and Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE), including mileage and fuel reporting
• Function as a Licensing Examiner for government driver's licenses and MHE operations
• Handle, inventory, and transport small arms, weapons, and ammunition/explosives
• Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and heavy equipment to transport supplies and materials
• Maintain inventory of repair parts and consumable supplies

Requirements

• US Citizenship required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating power tools, hand tools, welding, and fabricating in metal and wood
• Experience in basic electrical maintenance, carpentry, and construction skills
• Ability to utilize computers
• Active state driver's license
• Ability to pass mandatory medical, psychological, and drug screenings

Preferred Qualifications

• Requisite training in metal and wood fabrication
• Possession of a Class A, B, or C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HAZMAT endorsement
• Existing Government Construction Equipment, Driver’s License Examiner, or MHE certifications
