Armorer/Site Lead

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform armory personnel duties supporting U.S. Navy high-risk training evolutions
• Supervise and train Armorers, Armorer/EMTs, and AA&E Range Technicians
• Manage maintenance and logistics for small arms, weapons, weapon mounts, and training simulators
• Account for ammunition and explosives (AE) via computer-based applications including requisition, issue, and disposition
• Generate technical correspondence such as SOPs, deficiency reports (CODR, PQDR), and mishap reports
• Oversee AE qualifications and certification programs
• Transport weapons and ammunition from storage facilities to live ranges
• Maintain accountability of AA&E, VAS, SAWS, and other controlled inventory items

Requirements

• Minimum of nine years of related experience
• Minimum of six years of preventative/corrective weapons maintenance experience
• Minimum of three years in an ammunition and weapons management environment
• US Citizenship required
• Must satisfy Lautenberg Amendment requirements
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass mandatory medical, psychological, and drug screenings
• Ability to work in various environments including live-fire ranges and inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of U.S. Navy certification courses (CENSECFOR, NSW, or NECC EOLM Armorers)
• Certifications in AMMO 49, AMMO 51, or AMMO Technical Specialist
• Experience with TAMIS and MPPEH
• Familiarity with Fire Arms Training Systems (FATS) simulators
• Ability to obtain a Class B or C CDL with HAZMAT endorsement
