Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on small arms, crew-served weapons, weapon mounts, and simulators
• Conduct detailed disassembly, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of weapons
• Manage ammunition and explosives (AE) including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory
• Maintain training unique equipment such as Tactical Training Simulators and Mobile Weapons Firing Trailers
• Develop and maintain ordnance-based documentation including SOPs and deficiency reports
• Transport weapons and ammunition from storage facilities to live ranges
• Ensure accountability for weapons and ammunition per Navy directives

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• Associate’s degree and 3 years of experience, or 4 years of military experience
• Minimum 3 years of preventative/corrective weapons maintenance experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ammunition and weapons management
• Ability to satisfy Lautenberg Amendment requirements
• Ability to pass mandatory medical, psychological, and drug screenings
• Active state driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a Class B or C CDL with HAZMAT endorsement

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of U.S. military armorer’s courses (CENSESECFOR, NSW, or NECC EOLM)
• Certifications in AMMO 49, AMMO 51, or AMMO Technical Specialist
• Experience with OIS-R, TAMIS, or MPPEH
• Familiarity with Firearms Training Systems (FATS®) simulators
• In-depth knowledge of night vision, lasers, and weapon sight technologies
