Armed Security Operative

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting persons as needed
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior or materials to the client
• Communicate and document any irregular security-related or safety-related incidents

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years of verifiable experience)
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen
• Valid driver’s license (for driving positions)
• Compliance with state and local licensing requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Military service in law enforcement or security related specialties (e.g., Military Police, Combat Arms)
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
• Minimum of 8 years of military service
• Associate’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice with active military service
