Armed Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out assigned security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points to verify that entry and exit activity follows post instructions and visitor protocols.
• Document observations and report concerns through appropriate communication channels.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possession of a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license (required for driving positions only).
