About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, and implement maintenance programs across the assigned portfolio
- Oversee capital project execution, budget preparation, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Train, coach, and guide the Maintenance Service Team
- Lead procurement processes, including developing scopes of work and analyzing contractor bids
- Manage vendor relationships and maintenance supplies inventory
- Act as the primary maintenance liaison for commercial and retail tenants
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, building licenses, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with property management to resolve tenant maintenance concerns and service requests
Requirements
- 5+ years of project, property, facilities, or maintenance management experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Experience in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial facilities management
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local Fair Housing laws
- Ability to travel moderately
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple sites or a regional portfolio
- Strong mechanical knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life-safety systems
- College degree in construction management, business, engineering, or facilities management
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager and Entrata
