Area Sales Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Riboli Family Wine & Spirits portfolio across the retail chain channel in the East Bay
• Drive distribution, cold box, planner, and display activity within target accounts
• Work in the market with distributor personnel to assist in product placement and stay tuned to market trends
• Build relationships with key customers including Chain Field District Managers, Concierge, and Wine Managers
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual business planning meetings with distributors and management
• Execute in-store tastings and demos on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
• Track monthly sales activity and deliver analysis reports to wholesalers
• Perform field work (80%), administration (10%), and in-store tastings (10%)

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of wine industry experience
• Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience in supplier, distributor sales, or wine industry management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to calculate and interpret financial and statistical data
• Must reside in the East Bay
• Valid driver’s license and a clean, professional 4-door vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the market
