About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the portfolio of products within Northern California, including distributor representatives and trade accounts
  • Execute depletion, POD, BTG, and volume plans across independent off-premise and on-premise channels
  • Target and influence key customers, with a primary focus on top fine wine accounts
  • Manage Breakthru Beverage Group wholesaler to achieve sales targets and support focus calendar programs
  • Deliver depletion, POD, menu placements, and volume plans within the Northern California zone
  • Manage and allocate trade expenditure, sample budgets, and T&E budgets
  • Assess distributor performance and assist in developing wholesaler capabilities through education
  • Utilize KARMA to manage daily field activity and monitor KPIs
  • Cultivate cross-departmental relationships with marketing, finance, and logistics teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of wine industry experience
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience in supplier, distributor sales, or wine industry management
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills for presentations and reporting
  • Intermediate Excel skills and ability to analyze sales data and market trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to calculate and interpret financial data
  • Current valid driver’s license and residency in Northern California
  • Ability to travel overnight as required by the territory
  • Possession of a clean, late-model, professional 4-door vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (approximate weight of a case of wine)
