Area Sales Manager – Environmental

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and identify new opportunities for flue gas cleaning and wastewater treatment solutions in international markets, primarily in Asia.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial market exploration and opportunity identification to negotiation and contract closure.
• Build, manage, and progress a robust sales pipeline in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals in coordination with engineering and application development experts.
• Lead commercial and technical negotiations to ensure competitive, customer-focused solutions.
• Represent GEA in customer meetings, industry events, and site visits worldwide (approximately 50-60 travel days per year).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
• Proven experience in technical project sales, ideally within environmental engineering, emissions control, or industrial process industries.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial production processes.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to navigate cross-cultural settings and work effectively within a global matrix organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience with spray drying, flue gas cleaning, or emission control technologies.
• Proficiency in additional Asian languages.
