Area Sales Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas
• Manage and lead a team of sales representatives with coaching and performance feedback
• Identify new business opportunities through market mapping and competitive analysis
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and hospital administration
• Conduct regular market visits and product demonstrations
• Collaborate with marketing and product management to align sales strategies
• Monitor sales performance and prepare accurate forecasts and reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Manage budget allocation and expenses effectively
• Participate in industry events and exhibitions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
• 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
• 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market and regulatory landscape
• Proficiency in CRM software like Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
