Area Materials Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the area materials management program to ensure stock levels, accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Oversee inventory control across the full lifecycle including receiving, put-away, stock rotation, and shipment
• Drive cycle count programs and physical inventory audits for all locations within the area
• Monitor inventory reports for negative inventory, slow-moving stock, and shrinkage trends
• Establish and maintain standard mobile inventories for Service and Install vehicles
• Manage vendor relationships and lead procurement negotiations regarding pricing, freight, and local partnerships
• Verify accuracy of packing slips, load sheets, and bills of lading for inbound shipments
• Ensure ERP transactions are entered promptly and accurately
• Manage vendor return and freight claim processes
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for management staff
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and system data

Requirements

• 3–5 years of progressive materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain experience
• Experience with ERP systems such as BAAN, IFS, or SAP
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification preferred
• Ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned area
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
• Strong leadership and people development skills
