Area Manager/Supervisor I – Distribution Center

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned operational areas and employees, including scheduling and adjusting staffing based on workflow needs.
• Monitor workflow and make real-time adjustments to meet production and service targets.
• Train department personnel on proper work methods and ensure compliance with established processes.
• Protect the safety and well-being of personnel by training employees in safe work practices and verifying adherence.
• Maintain departmental efficiency, production goals, and equipment maintenance standards.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture by setting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical support to maintain smooth product flow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations in progressively responsible roles.
• Experience leading projects or people, including supervisory responsibility for direct reports.
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations and computerized distribution systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems independently.
• Physical ability to move throughout a distribution center, including standing for extended periods and lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.
