Area Manager, Sterile Facilities

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of compounding facility technicians in a multi-shift, 24/7 operation.
• Provide predictive and preventive maintenance on all sterile lab equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, and HVAC systems.
• Document maintenance data, technical charts, and calibration records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize CMMS to track all assets, parts, and work orders for lab equipment.
• Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory teams to maintain proper documentation and validation reports.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production downtime.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in maintenance or engineering.
• 3+ years of formal leadership experience with direct reports.
• Accredited certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, PLC, or HVAC trades.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and CMMS systems.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and project management tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical requirements including climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish.
