Area Manager, Pellet Mill

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safety rules
• Meet process, product quality, and volume targets
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Provide training and development to team members
• Manage maintenance programs, tooling, and area budgets
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and staffing for the area

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA)
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and process improvement
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Engineering degree preferred, or 5 years in wood process manufacturing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of leadership experience
• Experience in 24/7 operations
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical motors, pumps, fans, blowers, and conveyors
