Area Manager II, Quality

Responsibilities

• Lead QA teams to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation meet high-quality standards
• Provide employee instructions, advice, and training on QA checks and documentation
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding GMPs, HACCP, processing analysis, and environmental monitoring
• Coach QA employees on company procedures and standard operating procedures
• Distribute daily workload based on priority and ability
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the QA Manager
• Inspect products or surfaces using tools such as thermometers, gas analyzers, and food scales
• Update quality numbers in the computer system via data entry

Requirements

• 1 or more years of related experience
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
• Basic computer literacy for data entry
• Ability to obtain certification as a powered material handling equipment operator

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field
• Bilingual in Spanish
