Area Manager II

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate an hourly workforce to maintain high levels of engagement
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business objectives
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all operational protocols

Requirements

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (or 2+ years of Amazon blue badge/FTE experience)
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees
• Knowledge of Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
• Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or military environments
