Area Manager I, Quality

Responsibilities

• Lead QA teams to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation meet high-quality standards
• Provide employee instructions on QA checks, documentation, and expectations
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding GMPs, HACCP, processing analysis, and environmental monitoring
• Coach and train employees on standard operating procedures and company procedures
• Distribute daily workload based on priority and ability
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the QA Manager
• Inspect products or surfaces using tools such as thermometers, gas analyzers, and food scales
• Update quality numbers in computer systems via data entry

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or related field experience
• 1 or more years of related experience
• Ability to obtain certification as a powered material handling equipment operator
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
• Basic computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications

• HACCP Certification
• Bilingual in Spanish
