Area Manager

Responsibilities

• Respectfully communicate with all employees and leads
• Provide coaching and development to shift hourly associates
• Provide employees with necessary tools, proper training and corrective direction
• Report production information and updates to managers throughout every shift
• Resolve employee issues through appropriate problem resolution
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results
• Manage departmental performance measures and provide regular progress reports
• Conduct daily shift meetings and safety meetings
• Conduct interviews for nonexempt shifts within the department
• Perform accident investigations and notify management
• Track absenteeism and timekeeping daily

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or related work experience
• Ability to train and develop a large group of employees
• Ability to manage multiple production lines
• Problem-solving and results-driven mindset
• Ability to multitask and monitor production productivity
• Computer literacy for data input
• Comfort working in cool or cold environments (10º - 40º)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment
