About the role
Responsibilities
- Communicate respectfully with all employees and leads
- Provide coaching, development, and training to shift hourly associates
- Report production updates and information to managers throughout the shift
- Resolve employee issues through appropriate problem resolution
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale
- Manage departmental performance measures and visual controls
- Conduct daily shift and safety meetings
- Conduct interviews for nonexempt shifts
- Perform accident investigations and track absenteeism
- Manage department priorities as situations arise
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or related work experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Leadership skills to manage multiple production lines
- Problem-solving and results-driven mindset
- Computer literacy for data input
- Ability to work in cool or cold environments (10º - 40º)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment
