Requirements
Master's Degree in student personnel, counseling, or higher education, 2 to 5 years experience in student affairs, Supervision experience, On-call or live-in experience preferred
About the role
Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, and develop graduate assistants and undergraduate student staff (RAs/CAs)
- Manage total operations of residential communities, including openings, closings, and health and safety inspections
- Serve on a crisis response duty rotation to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours
- Facilitate the student conduct process, including serving as a hearing officer and documenting policy violations
- Create and assess community engagement programming to promote student development and academic success
- Advise student hall governments and foster leadership opportunities for emerging student leaders
- Collaborate with Housing Operations and Facilities to manage maintenance, room changes, and housing assignments
Requirements
- Master's Degree in student personnel, counseling, higher education administration, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in student affairs or an equivalent combination of experience
- Proven experience in supervision
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours as part of an on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with student life on an urban, Catholic residential campus
- Experience supporting and advocating for students from diverse populations
- Specialized knowledge of Student Development Theory and Community Based Theory
- Experience with on-call or live-in roles in a university setting
- Strong communication skills and experience with data assessment
