Area Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop a team of Resident Assistants and Community Assistants
• Manage residential community development, including Living Learning Communities and programmatic initiatives
• Serve as a first-level student conduct judicial administrator, communicating policy and administering educational sanctions
• Participate in a rotating on-call emergency response duty, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Oversee daily residential operations such as check-in/out procedures and facility management
• Collaborate with campus partners including Public Safety, Facilities, and Housekeeping to ensure student safety and success

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience in Residential Life and community development
• Demonstrated experience in student conduct or judicial affairs
• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage crisis situations and work under pressure
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on-call rotations and non-traditional hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in student leadership or involvement
• At least one year of live-in staff experience in a residence life setting
