About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 25-30 student staff members, including conducting regular 1:1 meetings.
  • Oversee a residential community of approximately 800-1,000 residents, collaborating with Assistant Directors to address student needs.
  • Support the implementation of the Residential Curriculum and assist in developing engaging residential programs.
  • Participate in the campus-wide on-call rotation to respond to crisis situations and serve as a conduct hearing officer.
  • Provide advising and referrals to students regarding social, academic, and personal concerns.
  • Monitor the physical integrity of assigned residential spaces through regular walkthroughs and life safety inspections.
  • Assist with administrative processes including student staff hiring, room inspections, and damage billing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree completed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a live-in administrative capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Master's degree program in student personnel or a related student-focused field.
  • Experience in residence hall administration, supervision, or oversight of multifaceted processes.
  • Experience with website development or database management.
  • Proven ability to work collegially with diverse constituencies.
