Area Collection Manager - Recovery

Responsibilities

• Execute recovery strategies for mid-to-late stage delinquency (90+ DPD) and write-off pools to minimize financial losses.
• Achieve monthly roll-back, resolution, and portfolio efficiency targets across assigned regions.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage external collection agencies, field officers, and channel partners.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and audits of vendors to ensure compliance with MOUs and data security mandates.
• Ensure 100% compliance with RBI guidelines, Fair Practices Code, and ethical collection standards.
• Coordinate with internal legal teams and law enforcement for legal interventions and recovery of written-off cases.
• Lead, mentor, and monitor internal teams of Territory Managers and Collection Executives.
• Provide feedback to Risk, Credit, and Policy teams regarding geographic portfolio health and delinquency trends.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in any discipline; MBA is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services collections.
• 2-5 years of experience in a leadership or zonal management capacity.
• Strong analytical ability and negotiation skills.
• Proven expertise in crisis management and stakeholder management.
