Architecture Assurance Guidance & Standards Management Lead

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise-wide architecture principles, standards, and reference architecture artefacts.
• Operate a consistent architecture assurance model to provide confidence in key technology initiatives and investments.
• Chair and facilitate enterprise architecture governance and assurance forums, ensuring high-quality and actionable decision-making.
• Ensure architecture standards and decisions are effectively applied and followed through across the organization.
• Provide independent architectural risk, resilience, and technical debt insights to senior leadership and governance forums.
• Translate strategy into "minimum viable architecture" guardrails that enable delivery teams to move quickly with autonomy.
• Track architecture actions and decisions to ensure implementation and accountability.

Requirements

• Significant experience in enterprise architecture, architecture governance, or assurance roles.
• Proven experience chairing technical or architecture governance forums.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex decisions and actions clearly.
• Ability to provide constructive challenge and maintain independence of judgement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating a central architecture assurance or design authority function.
• Experience working within large, global, or highly regulated environments.
