Architecture and Design Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper functioning of architecture and design workshops, including Wood, Plastic, Metal, Technology, Ceramics, Construction, and Mobility labs.
• Maintain specialized machinery to ensure 100% operational capacity and zero accidents within the workspaces.
• Provide technical support and attention to students and professors from the School of Architecture, Art, and Design at Campus San Luis.
• Coordinate and execute academic projects, end-of-semester exhibitions, and campus events.
• Instruct classes and workshops regarding safety guidelines and the use of specialized laboratory machinery.
• Support strategic initiatives and propose improvements for student and faculty workspaces.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, or Engineering.
• Proven experience operating machinery and tools for handling wood, plastic, metal, and polymers.
• Advanced knowledge of graphic design software and design technologies.
• Expertise in laser cutting and 3D printing technologies.
