About the role
Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business within architectural, commercial, and contractor segments
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, and general contractors
- Promote and secure product specifications on commercial and residential projects
- Track projects from specification through completion to ensure sales conversion
- Conduct product presentations, job-site visits, and lunch-and-learns
- Use CRM, Outlook, Teams, and ERP systems to manage pipeline and customer activity
- Negotiate pricing and prepare sales forecasts and reports
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of outside B2B sales experience
- Experience calling on architects, designers, or contractors
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Disciplined CRM user with strong pipeline management skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Technical knowledge of paint systems and substrates is a plus
