About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of architectural elements, including walls, drywall, doors, windows, and finishes, to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications
  • Perform rigorous testing of materials and construction methods to verify quality and structural integrity
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure on-site implementation aligns with design intent
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports including findings, recommendations, and photographic documentation
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve change orders and field changes
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential issues impacting project timelines or quality
  • Verify compliance with local building codes and safety regulations, including OSHA standards
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on inspection findings and discuss solutions
  • Mentor and train junior inspectors on best practices in architectural inspection

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar or equivalent role
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
