Architectural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual and detailed architectural design for building architecture during the post-sales stage.
• Develop detailed designs for mechanical parts, including wall/floor penetrations, doors, flashing, sealing, and water mitigation.
• Create Schematic Design (SD), Detail Design (DD), and Construction Drawing (CD) narratives.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers on thermal transfer calculations, fire ratings, and thermal bridges.
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal building codes.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests during construction phases.
• Perform quality control during execution and conduct design validation visits to fabricator facilities.
• Specify appropriate materials and sizes in collaboration with business units and preferred vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes.
• Proven experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Experience with data center equipment and facility design.
