About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead various phases of architectural projects, including design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule under the guidance of senior leadership
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with in-house disciplines and external consultants
- Contribute to project design through sketches, 3D modeling, and the development of creative, practical solutions
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery
- Conduct code analysis, material research, and specification writing
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Support business development activities through proposal input and project presentations
Requirements
- Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Master of Architecture)
- Current Architect License
- 11-15 years of experience specifically with higher education projects and clients
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Proven experience in construction documentation and building detailing
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform limited project-related travel within 400 miles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Ability to create engaging graphics for building design presentations
