Architect Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end test automation strategies, including framework design, risk-based coverage, and quality gates.
• Architect and govern reusable automation frameworks leveraging UiPath Test Suite, Test Manager, and REFramework.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex defects, integration failures, and architectural blockers.
• Manage the full test lifecycle from planning and execution to defect management and technical sign-off.
• Partner with Business Analysts and SMEs to translate banking process logic into accurate test scenarios and traceability matrices.
• Lead, mentor, and coach L1–L3 Testing engineers to ensure high engineering standards and continuous capability building.
• Serve as the lead technical point of contact for clients, communicating complex technical outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of total IT experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical lead or test automation lead role managing delivery teams.
• 5+ years of hands-on UiPath experience with deep proficiency in Studio, Orchestrator, Test Manager, and Test Automation activities.
• Proven expertise in designing scalable automation architectures (e.g., REFramework, modular patterns).
• Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum or SAFe frameworks within large-scale IT programs.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead client governance meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of core banking processes (payments, lending, GL, or regulatory reporting).
• Experience with core banking platforms such as FIS, Jack Henry, or Temenos.
• Hands-on experience integrating UiPath test suites into CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
• UiPath Certified Solution Architect certification.
• Familiarity with complementary frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, or Tosca.
• ISTQB Advanced Level certification (CTAL-TM).
