Architect, Technology Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead technology operations with a focus on webMethods integration and cloud platform engineering within AWS environments.
• Administer webMethods instances and runtime components, including Integration Server, Universal Messaging, and My webMethods Server (MWS).
• Manage and deploy webMethods in hybrid cloud environments (on-prem and AWS) ensuring secure connectivity and operational discipline.
• Implement automated build/release pipelines for middleware platforms using CI/CD concepts.
• Maintain container images and deployment artifacts in enterprise-approved repositories with strong versioning practices.
• Perform incident triage, root-cause analysis, and change/release management to drive technical issues to closure.
• Collaborate across distributed teams and communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with webMethods and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Expert knowledge of webMethods Integration Server, Universal Messaging, MWS, and Designer.
• Proven experience with Amazon EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes, including networking fundamentals and deployment operations.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and automated pipeline implementation.
• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments and maintaining deployment artifacts.
• Solid operational skills in incident triage and root-cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience upgrading webMethods platforms (e.g., 10.x to 11.x) and modernizing to cloud-ready architectures.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) for EKS and AWS service provisioning.
• Experience with webMethods.io (SaaS) and integrating SaaS workflows with enterprise patterns.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, certificate management, and secrets management in Kubernetes.
• Experience creating Helm charts or Kubernetes manifests for webMethods components.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical lead in large-scale migration programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
