Architect, Deployment Engineering

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive scale compute infrastructure for AI. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them, rethinking every layer of the stack to build civilization-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural conformance across active construction sites, verifying building envelope, life-safety assemblies, and spatial layouts
• Drive AHJ and permitting execution, including inspections, code interpretation, and certificate of occupancy sequencing
• Manage the architectural RFI and submittal process, coordinating with engineers of record and contractors
• Enforce FM Global envelope and life-safety compliance through contractor-driven field conditions
• Own the architectural punch list from substantial completion through final acceptance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
• Experience as an owner's representative or developer-side architect on data center or large-scale mission-critical construction
• Deep knowledge of IBC, IFC, occupancy classification, egress requirements, and fire-rated assembly construction
• Experience managing RFI and submittal processes on active construction sites
• Ability to travel extensively to deployment sites (50% or more)

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Architect (RA)
• Experience on hyperscale data center or large-scale industrial construction sites
• Familiarity with FM Global DS 1-28 and DS 1-29 standards
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, or ACC
• Experience with modular or prefab construction programs
