Arabic/Islamic Studies Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver the required Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum with accurate and up-to-date subject knowledge
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to different learning styles and student needs, including ESL and gifted students
• Maintain accurate records of curriculum plans, attendance, teaching resources, and student assessments
• Use media and technology effectively within the classroom to enhance learning
• Assess, record, and report on the academic development and progress of students
• Promote student well-being and provide guidance on educational matters
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and school philosophy
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school committees
• Support co-curricular and extra-curricular programs and assist in organizing school events

Requirements

• B.Ed or Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language, Literature, or Islamic Studies
• PGCE/PGDE or equivalent L5 teaching qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a relevant subject area or age group
• Proficiency in using ICT to aid teaching and learning
• A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check (pre-requisite for appointment)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues
