Arabic A Teacher

Responsibilities

• Foster a strong foundation in Arabic language and culture for native Arabic-speaking students in Cycle 1 (KG1 - Grade 5).
• Design, implement, and assess engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with American Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
• Differentiate instruction to cater to varying student abilities and learning styles.
• Utilize educational technology to enrich the learning experience and promote student engagement.
• Maintain excellent classroom management to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
• Comply with all regulations and guidelines stipulated by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Literature, Education (specializing in Arabic), or a related field.
• Valid and recognized teaching certification/license from a US state or an equivalent international qualification recognized in the UAE.
• Native or near-native fluency in written and spoken Arabic.
• 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience in Arabic A, specifically for Cycle 1 students.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication within an international school setting.
• Ability to obtain or possession of an ADEK Professional Educator License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience teaching within an American curriculum framework.
• Prior experience working in an international school setting, particularly within the UAE or Gulf region.
